It would work / not work to wire a house because... It wont work it if one of the bulbs were disconneted like old christmas ligth that wont work if one of the lights get disconnected

the flow of the electrecity will stop when one of the lightbulbs gets disconneted from the wire

it will work in a house since most houses use parallel curcits i mean how did engeneers do this with out a blueprints
